What got me into Meditation

There comes a time in every person’s life, when they either:

Get overwhelmed by suffering: Having tried everything else, they are guided to meditation and spirituality.

Or are successful but Unfulfilled: Despite abundance in multiple areas, they feel sad and lonely, searching for meaning or purpose. This is called the dark night of the soul.

For me, meditation and spirituality came through persistent lower back pain caused by L3/L4 disc issues. I had tried everything – allopathy, physiotherapy, Ayurveda, acupressure – for over a decade, but the issues kept reoccurring.

That’s when a close family friend, Gopal Krishnan, suggested Ayurvedagram retreat in Bangalore. This was in December 2015, during what I now understand from “The 7 Cycles of Life” as a time of my negative karma, where health issues tend to manifest. I checked myself in for two weeks.

The retreat was transformative.

Morning Routine: Started with walks, breathing, yoga and meditation.

Ayurvedic Treatments: Personalised treatments followed by a nutritious breakfast

Work time: Dedicated hours to catch up on calls and work

And this was repeated after lunch, until dinner.

By the end of the two weeks, my back was better, and more importantly, I had developed a meditation routine that I didn’t want to stop.

Being in this serene environment and meeting interesting people from around the world who had also checked in there, played a crucial role in this transformation.

Since then, I continue to meditate every day but have moved on to more advanced meditations, spiritual technology and healing techniques from the BE Life Institute of Higher Consciousness (BIHC) founded by Master Del Pe.

I look forward to connecting with people who need help growing as this is our life’s purpose – To overcome our flaws and become the best version of ourselves!
